Mattress Materials

At Buis Mattress, we pride ourselves on using only the best in-house manufacturing processes to ensure that our products meet the highest standards. Below, view the different materials we use in our mattresses, and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

We use two different types of cotton, Wolf and Jones. Wolf Cotton is a combination of cotton and polyester, mixed to form a durable lower layer. Jones Cotton is 100% pure cotton, used in our tufted mattresses for extra comfort and softness.

We also use 100% pure wool produced at Frankenmuth Woolen Mills. Wool works as a cool, dry surface for the mattress and as a great layer for cushioning underneath.

Our latex, sourced from sustainable forests of rubber trees in Sri Lanka, is 100% natural, antibacterial, and durable.

We now incorporate heavy duty wood foundations and a truflex system – TruFlex Working box spring.

To provide the right amount of softness and resistance, we use polyurethane foam. We offer 1.9, 2.8, 3.2, and 4-pound density foam, so that you can choose the exact feeling you want your mattress to have. All our foam is sourced locally from Grand Rapids, MI.

We use an Inneract spring. This spring is American-made in Wisconsin by Spiller Springs and is an open end, five-turn, offset, fourteen gauge wire.

We also utilize two different innersprings produced by Holland Maid, offering a range of firmness to fit your preference. Our innersprings incorporate eight different coil designs within each one to provide ergonomic support for the different parts of the body. This support cannot be achieved with air, foams, or a mono-supporting innerspring.
